Terms of service

LAST UPDATED 11 JULY 2026 · APPLIES TO THE VOUCHSHIP SHOPIFY APP AND VOUCHSHIP.COM

These terms are an agreement between Vouchship (“Vouchship”, “we”, “us”), operated as a sole proprietorship registered in India, and the merchant (“you”) who installs or uses the Vouchship application. By installing the app, creating an account, or joining early access, you accept these terms.

1. What Vouchship is

Vouchship is software that connects to your Shopify store and your WhatsApp Business Account to send order-confirmation messages for cash-on-delivery orders, record the customer’s response, and tag your orders accordingly. Vouchship is a tool you operate; the messages are sent from your WhatsApp Business Account, under your store’s name, to your customers.

2. Your account and connections

You must have the authority to connect the Shopify store and the WhatsApp Business Account you link to Vouchship. You are responsible for keeping your accounts secure. Message costs charged by Meta for your WhatsApp Business Account are billed by Meta directly to you and are separate from Vouchship’s subscription.

3. Subscription, trial, and refunds

Vouchship is billed as a monthly subscription through Shopify Billing, at the plan tiers shown on our pricing page, based on your monthly COD order volume. New installs receive a 14-day free trial; you will not be charged if you uninstall before the trial ends. You can cancel anytime by uninstalling the app; your subscription ends at the close of the current billing cycle. Because billing runs through Shopify, refunds follow Shopify’s billing mechanics; if you believe you were charged in error, email hello@vouchship.com within 30 days and we will put it right.

4. Acceptable use (this section protects your customers, and you)

You agree to use Vouchship only to send transactional messages about orders your customers actually placed, and to comply with:

  • Meta’s WhatsApp Business terms and messaging policies,
  • Shopify’s terms and policies, and
  • the laws that apply to you and your customers, including consumer-protection, privacy, and anti-spam laws in the markets you sell to.

You must not use Vouchship to send marketing broadcasts, harassing or deceptive content, or messages to people who did not place an order; you must honour opt-outs. If your usage damages the health of your WhatsApp number, breaks Meta’s or Shopify’s rules, or exposes Vouchship to legal or platform risk, we may suspend or limit the service for your store, telling you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so.

5. Your data and your customers’ data

Our Privacy Policy (vouchship.com/privacy) describes what we process and how. In short: you are the controller of your customers’ data; Vouchship processes it on your behalf solely to provide the service, encrypts sensitive fields at rest, deletes order-level data within 90 days, and deletes your store’s data when you uninstall. You are responsible for ensuring you may lawfully send order-confirmation messages to your customers in your market and for your own privacy disclosures to them.

6. What we promise, and what we do not

We work to keep Vouchship fast, secure, and available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, and early-access versions may change or break without notice. Vouchship depends on third parties we do not control, including Shopify, Meta’s WhatsApp platform, and network providers; their outages, policy changes, or pricing changes are outside our control.

No guaranteed outcomes: RTO reduction depends on your customers, your products, your couriers, and your market. Figures on our website describe industry experience and honest math, not a promise about your store’s results.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vouchship’s total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid to Vouchship in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or the acts of third-party platforms. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Indemnity

You will indemnify Vouchship against claims arising from your breach of section 4 (acceptable use), your violation of law, or your infringement of others’ rights while using the service.

9. Intellectual property

Vouchship, its software, design, and branding remain our property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your store while these terms are in effect. Your store’s data remains yours. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or build a competing service using our software.

10. Termination

You can end this agreement anytime by uninstalling the app. We can suspend or terminate for breach of these terms, for platform or legal risk, or by winding down the service with at least 30 days’ notice to active merchants. Sections that by nature survive (5 through 9, 11, 12) survive termination.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Vouchship after that date means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any consumer rights that mandatorily apply in your location. Before going to court, you agree to try to resolve any dispute by writing to hello@vouchship.com; most problems are fixed faster that way.
